Dr. Farooq-e-Azam, Director NIFA has received Research Productivity Allowance for the year 2007-2008. He has been the regular recepient of this award since the inception of this programme by Pakistan Council for Science and Technology. The programme aims at recognizing/rewarding active scientists and engineers in the country. |

Dr. Farooq-e-Azam, Director NIFA has been listed amongst the leading scientists and Engineers of OIC member states. This is based on a study conducted by COMSTECH. The indicators used for ranking the scientific research included the number of research article published in high quality international journals, writing and editing of books, winning competitive international research grants and registration of patents by the scientists. Dr. Farooq-e-Azam is the only scientist of PAEC included in the list and ranks highest in the agricultural institutions of Pakistan. |

| Yaum-e-Takbeer celebrated at NIFA | ||
| NIFA celebrated the 10th youm-e-Takbeer in a graceful ceremony headed by Director NIFA, Dr. Farooq and attended by all the officers and staff of NIFA. At this occassion a message. A spciial message sent by Dr. Ishfaq Ahamad for this occassion was read out to the autdience by Dr. Abid Farid, program Anchor. A prize distrribution ceremenony was then held. Gold Medals were awarded to the scientists on the basis of their performance. Mr. Amal Badshah, PS and Dr. Aurengzeb, PS won the medals this year. Cash prize of Rs. 10, 000/- was awarded to Mr. Faizullah Khan, CSA . Director NIFA also distribted 25 speicial encouragement prizez and certicfiates of appreciation to the staff membes showing good performance. | ||
