NIFA celebrated the 10th youm-e-Takbeer on 28th May, 2008 in a graceful ceremony headed by Director NIFA, Dr. Farooq-e-Azam and attended by all the officers and staff of NIFA. At this occasion, a special message sent by Dr. Ishfaq Ahamad, Ex. Chairman PAEC was read out to the audience by Dr. Abid Farid, the program Anchor. A prize distribution ceremony was then held. Gold Medals were awarded to Mr. Amal Badshah, PS and Dr. Aurengzeb, PS in recognition of their outstanding contributions in the field of R&D. Cash prize of Rs. 10, 000/- was awarded to Mr. Faizullah Khan, CSA due to his excellent performance. Director NIFA also distributed 25 special encouragement prizes and certificates of appreciation to the staff members showing good performance during the last one year. In his concluding speech, Director NIFA gave a detailed overview of the role of PAEC and other organization in making Pakistan the only nuclear power of the Islamic world. He also commemorated the valuable contributions of Chairman PAEC, Mr. Anwar Ali in the development of Pakistan’s nuclear programme.
